| Re: Reunion 2016 Ron Pottinger - 4/11/2016 I think October 8th has been reserved, but not 100% sure. We have applied to the Kentucky Pioneer Cemetery Preservation Program to have the Pottinger Cemetery certified and have the Bronze Marker Placement Program on that day as well. We are waiting for the Kentucky Historical Society in Frankfort to approve. | |

I'm a descendant of the Pottinger family and live in Texas. I was unable to attend last year. My grandmother was Hise Baird Fields whom was descended from Capt. Samuel Pottinger. The Reunion will be that morning and this is the press release for that afternoon: Pottinger Cemetery to be named Kentucky Pioneer Cemetery The public is invited to a dedication of the Pottinger Family Cemetery (established 1795) as a Kentucky Pioneer Cemetery at 2 PM on Saturday Oct. 08. The cemetery is located east of New Haven at 4394 New Hope Road. The Pottinger family has worked for many years to restore the monuments and burial site for Capt. Samuel Pottinger’s 1st & 2nd wives, Samuel Pottinger Jr., T.J. Pottinger, and other family members. Look forward to seeing everyone there! | |
