Pottinger Cemetery to be named Kentucky Pioneer Cemetery after the 52nd Pottenger-Pottinger Reunion

The public has been invited to a dedication of the Pottinger Family Cemetery (established 1795) as a Kentucky Pioneer Cemetery on Saturday Oct. 08, 2016 after the 52nd Reunion.

At the reunion, I will have a presentation on the generations of “Kentucky Pottinger’s”.  Also,  several never seen before heirlooms will be on display that have been donated, including the hunting knife that Capt. Sam Pottinger owned, and original 1800’s papers.  I have created booklets about the Kentucky Pottinger’s and a collection of Walnut Hill, part II.  Please don’t forget about the great family tradition of a buffet style meal which begins promptly at noon.

The 52nd Reunion coincides with the Bardstown Arts and Craft Fair that occurs Oct 8th and 9th .   Set in the charming downtown historic district, it is a celebration of the area's top artists and crafters. The two-day event features over 200 artisans and craft smiths showcasing their unique and original works including art,  jewelry, wearables and antiques. Southern comfort food and live musical performances are also part of the affair.
